The launching of ARCH:ID 2023 International Conference on Architecture was held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at VIVERE Experience & Collaboration Space, SOUTH78. As one of Indonesia’s largest architecture events, ARCH:ID 2023 International Conference on Architecture carried the main theme “Identitas?”, inviting architects and industry professionals to reflect on the meaning of identity within the development of architecture and the built environment in Indonesia.

Through the theme “Identitas?”, ARCH:ID 2023 invites participants to explore various questions surrounding identity in architecture, including how the identity of a place, its people, culture, and the changing times can be reflected through architectural works. The theme also provides an opportunity to reflect on the changes taking place in our lives and built environment, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic, and how architecture can respond to these changes.

ARCH:ID 2023 was curated by three Indonesian architects, Wendy Djuhara, Maria Rosantina, and Andy Rahman. Through the International Conference on Architecture, ARCH:ID brings together architects and professionals from various disciplines to exchange ideas, engage in discussions, and broaden their perspectives on the development of architecture. The conference features two main sessions, Maritime + Technology and Social + Cultural, exploring different aspects of Indonesian architectural identity.

The launch event at VIVERE Experience & Collaboration Space, SOUTH78, was attended by fellow architects and professionals from the architecture industry. Their presence marked an important part of the journey toward ARCH:ID 2023, while also providing an opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and learn more about the theme and program of the upcoming event.

The ARCH:ID 2023 International Conference on Architecture was an important part of the ARCH:ID 2023 series, which took place from March 16–19, 2023, at ICE BSD, Tangerang. The international conference featured a number of speakers from Indonesia and abroad, representing diverse backgrounds and expertise in the field of architecture. Their participation enriched discussions surrounding “Identitas?” and provided broader perspectives on architectural development at both local and global levels.
