Jakarta, December 8, 2022 – Held at THE RITZ-CARLTON JAKARTA, PACIFIC PLACE, one of the biggest marketing events in Asia, MarkPlus Conference 2022 was officially held offline in Jakarta after being postponed for several years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Carrying the theme “Recovery to Reform: Post-Normal Agenda,” the event brought together prominent figures from various sectors, including representatives from Indonesian ministries, association leaders, company CEOs, and many other influential figures in the marketing industry.
The event began at 8:45 a.m. and was opened by Hermawan Kartajaya, Founder & Chairman of M Corp. The opening session was followed by remarks from several Indonesian ministers and prominent national figures, including H. Bambang Soesatyo, Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI). This was followed by a speech from Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, and concluded with remarks from Erick Thohir, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia. The program then continued with the Marketeer of the Year Indonesia 2022 and Indonesia Marketing Outlook 2023 sessions.
The following sessions were divided into four separate rooms, each featuring different speakers and topics. Room 1 featured speakers from ASTRA Financial with the theme “The Rise of Optimism.” Room 2 featured KORLANTAS with the theme “The Right Momentum.” Room 3 brought together speakers from Microsoft, Google, and Aisensum to discuss “Beyond Limits: Business Transformation.” Meanwhile, Room 4 featured speakers from GAPMMI and JIWA Group with the theme “Looking at the Future of Halal Industry.”
At 2:00 p.m., the event continued with seminar sessions held in each room. Room 1 featured representatives from Mayora, PLN, and BAKTI Kominfo with the theme “Agility for Indonesia.” In Room 2, the seminar featured representatives from state-owned enterprises Jasa Marga, Petrokimia, and Pertamina, discussing “Collaborate for the Best.” Meanwhile, Room 3 featured William Simiadi from VIVERE Group, Benyamin Ramli from Partipost, and Erwin Airlangga from Dwisata in a session entitled “Innovate or Die.”
The event continued with the “Indonesia Industry Outlook 2023 – Panel” session. This session was attended by leaders of various associations in Indonesia, including Dedy Rochimat, Chairman of ASMINDO; Bima Arya, Chairman of APEKSI and Mayor of Bogor; Adhi S. Lukman, Chairman of GAPMMI; Johannes Loman, Chairman of AISI; Dr. Muhammad Aqil Irham, Chairman of BPJPH; Suwandi Wiratno, Chairman of APPI; Irvan Susandy, Director of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI); Bima Laga, Chairman of IDEA; Dr. Aviliani, Chairman of PERBANAS; Budi Tirtawisata, Vice Chairman of GIPI; and Paulus Totok Lusida, Chairman of REI.
The event concluded with remarks from Sandiaga Uno, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, followed by a musical performance by the band HIVI! to close the event.
